Summer is finding its way back to Northern Michigan, and with it, the return of longer days along the bay. Otis Harbor Springs reopens May 8th, ready to welcome familiar faces and those discovering us for the first time.
Joining us for our re-opening evening is Catalan wine maker Anna Galofré of Valldolina. We will serve 6 of their wines by the glass.
Anna Galofrè i Baró grew up in the heart of Catalonia's wine country, trained as an enologist, and then honed her craft in Bordeaux, South Africa, and for eight years at Vins El Cep. In 2017 she joined her partner Raimon Badell at Valldolina — a winery with over 300 years of history in the Penedès — where they make organic wines with a hands-on, from-vine-to-bottle approach. What sets Valldolina apart is its rare intimacy: the same people who welcome visitors tend the vines, make the wines, and on weekends, explore the grounds with their two daughters.
